Proposal
to John & Yoko
1971
item
#1017
This is a rough draft of a note written a few years after talkin' dick and hampton wick had metamorphosed into Plaster Casting. I had been in London, hanging out at Pinewood Studios where Frank Zappa was filming "200 Motels." There I came across a golden opportunity to pop the question to John Lennon. Yoko was getting together a scrapbook with polaroids taken of people at the film lot wishing John a happy birthday. I was one of those photographed, and this is the rough draft of my birthday greeting to John. He never replied.
